Conviction Relief (PCR)
You can also do PCR for convictions
from other motor vehicle violations.
For example, I have some clients who want to reduce points in
their driving history. I look at their driving history and examine
which municipal court we should apply for PCR. We request a PCR,
and if granted, we go back and try the case. My client’s
points can be reduced which may avoid license suspension or result
in lowering the premium for automobile insurance. If the client
is facing jail time due to his prior conviction of no automobile
liability insurance, I might advise my client to apply for a
PCR. This way, if PCR is granted and we can win the first charge,
his exposure will be as a first offender on the current charge.
There are many tactical reasons to do PCR on your prior motor
vehicle convictions.

is defined as the number of clients not convicted for DWI divided
by the total number of clients who were charged with DWI. The
clients are those who retained this office after 2005. Each case
varies. Under any circumstance, we do NOT guarantee a successful
outcome in any individual case.
